Mohammad Ishaq

Mohammad Ishaq from Srinagar has emerged as one of Jammu & Kashmir's most promising young martial arts athletes, earning recognition as a KMR Youth Records Holder for his exceptional achievements in Pencak Silat.

A dedicated athlete and a student of Class 10 at RP School, Mohammad Ishaq has successfully balanced academics with a demanding sporting career. At just 16 years of age, he has already represented India and Jammu & Kashmir on prestigious national and international platforms, showcasing remarkable talent, discipline, and determination.

His biggest international achievement came when he secured a Bronze Medal at the 3rd Junior Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2025, bringing pride to Kashmir and demonstrating his ability to compete against some of Asia's finest athletes. He also represented at the 5th Junior World Championship, gaining valuable international experience and further strengthening his competitive journey.

At the national level, Mohammad Ishaq has consistently delivered outstanding performances. His achievements include winning Gold Medals at the 12th National Championship, 8th Federation Cup 2024, and 2nd All India Championship. He also secured Silver Medals at the 9th Federation Cup 2025 and the 1st All India Championship 2023, establishing himself among the country's top young Pencak Silat athletes.

His success extends to state and regional competitions, where he has earned multiple gold medals, including victories at the 11th District Championship (Senior Category) 2026, 4th Open Kashmir Championship, 9th State Level Championship, 9th District Level Championship 2024, and 10th District Championship. These achievements reflect his consistency, dedication, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
