Sheikh Zainab Iqbal

At just 12 years of age, Sheikh Zainab Iqbal has already established herself as one of the most promising young athletes from Jammu & Kashmir. A student of KC International School, Paloura, Jammu, Zainab has displayed exceptional talent in both rifle shooting and skiing, proving that age is no barrier to excellence.

Her achievements in shooting include winning a Silver Medal at the 13th Jammu District Shooting Championship 2024 (Sub Youth Air Rifle Women) and a Gold Medal at the 13th J&K UT Shooting Championship 2024. She further strengthened her credentials by qualifying for the SGFI National Competition, participating in the CBSE Zonal Shooting Competition in Gobindgarh, Punjab, and securing qualification for the 67th National Shooting Championship through the 43rd North Zone Shooting Championship in New Delhi.

What makes her journey even more extraordinary is her achievement in skiing. At the age of just three years, Zainab became one of the youngest Indian skiers to qualify for the National Advanced Course, showcasing her sporting talent from a very young age.
