Younis Reshi

Younis Reshi from Verinag, Anantnag, has emerged as a symbol of passion, discipline, and determination among Kashmir’s youth.

Known as the “Stunt Master of South Kashmir,” Younis has inspired many through his athletic endurance, courage, and commitment to fitness. One of his most remarkable achievements was covering an incredible distance of 135 kilometres in just 11 hours — a feat that reflects extraordinary physical endurance and mental strength.

Despite facing financial struggles, Younis never allowed circumstances to limit his ambition. Through hard work and persistence, he went on to win gold, silver, and bronze medals in various state-level running competitions, making both Verinag and Kashmir proud.

But his vision goes beyond personal achievement. Younis dreams of opening a sports academy dedicated to training and guiding young people across Kashmir — helping them discover their talent, build discipline, and choose sports as a path toward growth and opportunity.
