Simrin Qureshi

For Simrin Qureshi, becoming a pilot was not simply about wearing a uniform or sharing beautiful cockpit views. Her social-media storytelling focuses on the less glamorous side of aviation — long training days, demanding checkrides, uncertainty, setbacks and the discipline required to keep going. Coming from Srinagar, she pursued her aviation training in the United States, stepping into an industry that can initially feel distant from Kashmir. Her journey from the Valley to the cockpit reflects the effort involved in turning an ambitious dream into a professional qualification. One of the strongest themes in Simrin's message is that perfection is not required to pursue a dream — persistence is. She encourages young people to accept the difficult, exhausting parts of their journey and continue showing up. Her story is therefore not only about aviation. It is about breaking geographical and psychological barriers, embracing challenges and refusing to let self-doubt decide how far a dream can go.
