Saqib Fayaz

Saqib Fayaz, hailing from Panzinara, Srinagar, has earned a reputation as one of Jammu & Kashmir's most versatile athletes through his remarkable achievements across multiple sporting disciplines. A former student of Kashmir Model Academy and currently pursuing his studies at Amar Singh College, Saqib has balanced academics, elite-level competition, and coaching with exceptional dedication.
Known as "Kashmir's Versatile Champion," Saqib is the top-ranked squash player from Jammu & Kashmir and has proudly represented the Union Territory four times at the national level. His passion for winter sports has seen him qualify regularly for the Khelo India Winter Games, while his excellence in Ice Hockey has earned him the honor of representing India twice at the national level wearing the national jersey.
His achievements extend further with a National Gold Medal in Ice Stock and a National Bronze Medal in Sqay, the traditional martial art of Kashmir. Across his sporting career, he has accumulated more than 150 medals at district, state, and national competitions, reflecting extraordinary consistency and dedication.
Beyond his own success, Saqib is committed to shaping the future of sports in Kashmir by coaching young athletes at Gindun Stadium, Rajbagh, helping the next generation develop their talent and confidence.
