Sunaina Gulzar

Sunaina Gulzar has carved her name in the sporting history of Jammu & Kashmir through exceptional dedication, perseverance, and consistent performances across multiple sports. By becoming the first female Kabaddi player from Pulwama district to represent Jammu & Kashmir at the national level, she broke new ground and inspired countless young girls to pursue competitive sports.
Her sporting journey includes representing Jammu & Kashmir in 7 National Kabaddi Championships, 1 SGFI National Kabaddi Championship, and the Under-18 National Kabaddi Championship, demonstrating her consistency at the highest level of competition.
Apart from Kabaddi, Sunaina is also a National Gold Medalist in Shot Put, highlighting her versatility as an athlete. She has further represented Jammu & Kashmir in 3 SGFI National Softball Championships, 2 National Handball Championships, the Federation Cup in Softball, and the 3rd Federation Cup in Lacrosse, making her one of the region's most accomplished multi-sport athletes.
Adding another milestone to her career, she was selected by the Kathua Darbar franchise in the Jammu & Kashmir Kabaddi League (JKKL), recognizing her talent and contribution to the sport.
Through her determination, discipline, and passion, Sunaina Gulzar continues to inspire young athletes, especially girls from Jammu & Kashmir, proving that dedication and hard work can overcome every barrier.
