Umar Rashid Dar has dedicated his career to the growth and development of Kabaddi in Jammu & Kashmir. As a 4-time National Player and Senior National Kabaddi Player, he has proudly represented the Union Territory at prestigious national competitions.
Beyond competing, Umar has become a pioneer in sports education and coaching. He is the first certified Kabaddi coach from District Kupwara and holds professional qualifications including BPES, BPED, MPED, and an NIS Coaching Certificate. His commitment to excellence has also earned him recognition as a State Qualified Technical Official and a National Qualified Technical Official under the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Guru Kashi University, Umar continues to shape the next generation of athletes by combining academic knowledge with practical sporting experience.
